URSOLIC ACID:

It is a vegetable compound from the skin of apples.

According to researchers at the University of Iowa, it reduces obesity and associated health problems by increasing the amount of muscle and brown fat, tissue known for its calorie-burning properties.

Ursolic acid converts white fat tissue to brown, driven by an increase in irisin (fat burning hormone).

In 2012 Bostrom et al. discovered a noble myokine which they named Irisin, after the Greek messenger goddess "IRIS". Irisin is secreted primarily by skeletal muscle in response to exercise, whether aerobic, strength or high intensity, including high intensity interval exercise. This polypeptide hormone (112 amino acids) acts mainly on subcutaneous adipose cells, transforming white fat into brown fat.

Irisin is a small hormone of 112 amino acids, secreted as a product of fibronectin type. Brown fat is highly thermogenic, which promotes an increase in total energy expenditure and helps maintain or even lose body weight. Plasma Irisin concentration is positively related to insulin sensitivity and weight loss. In addition, it has been found that a higher plasma Irisin concentration is related to telomere lengthening, and also, to a higher concentration of free T4. All the functions mediated by Irisin, attribute to it a protective action against different diseases, especially metabolic.

Brown fat plays a fundamental role in thermogenesis and energy expenditure in infants, and although some years ago it was thought that it was not present in adults, nowadays and thanks to new technologies it has been possible to prove the opposite, and it has been possible to determine that its concentration is associated with the amount of lean mass since its release is mediated by muscle contraction.

Several studies have shown that changes in brown adipose tissue activity can affect thermogenesis and glucose homeostasis. The thermogenic capacity of brown fat is mediated by the presence of UPC 1 whose expression is regulated by several transcriptional factors including PPARy and PGC1a, which can be induced by exposure to cold and exercise through the function of Irisin. The increase in the expression of UPC 1 generates, as one of its effects, the browning of white adipose tissue transforming it into thermogenically more active brown adipose tissue, which increases total energy expenditure. Brown adipose tissue contains a high number of lipid particles and a high number of mitochondria. Inside the mitochondrial membrane is UPC 1, an uncoupling protein, which upon activation does not generate ATP synthesis but produces an increase in temperature release. For these reasons, Irisin is considered a thermogenic protein that increases energy expenditure by being a hormone that mediates the transformation of white adipose tissue to brown.

GARCINIA CAMBOGIA:

Source of hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which is believed to have lipogenesis (fat formation) regulating properties, slowing down the transformation of carbohydrates into fats. In addition, hydroxycitric acid (HCA) improves the bioavailability of serotonin, a substance responsible for regulating appetite.

DANDELION:

Its diuretic action is remarkable: due to its richness in potassium salts, flavonoids and saponides, it increases urinary fluid.

Therefore, it is indicated to remedy general or localized fluid retention, as well as for other genitourinary problems: kidney stones and gallstones.

BITTER ORANGE (CITRUS AURANTIUM):

It provides synephrine which stimulates b-3 adrenergic receptors stimulating lipolysis and increasing metabolic expenditure.

L-CARNITINE:

Carnitine accelerates the transport of fatty acids and deposits them in the metabolic furnace.

The consequence: the body burns fat (instead of accumulating it). This substance is also used in weight loss treatment due to its fat burning effect.

Carnitine formation is carried out in five synthetic steps that include the participation of essential co-factors: vitamin B6, vitamin B12, niacin and folic acid. This implies that a shortage of any of these substances may lead to a limitation of biosynthesis.

Energizing property: it is a source of energy available for physical activity, which is a virtuous phenomenon since the more muscle, the less fat.

Metabolic stimulant property: the relative increase in lean mass compared to fat mass produces an increase in basal metabolism, which facilitates and accelerates the slimming process.

L- METHIONINE:

Methionine is a neutral, non-polar amino acid containing one sulfur atom and is the first amino acid in the synthesis of any protein.

It is responsible for transporting fat to the cells to convert it into energy, thus achieving optimal muscle performance in all senses. What this amino acid does is to prevent the accumulation of fats in the arteries and liver.

L-GLUTAMINE:

Glutamine fights fat accumulation and can be transformed into glucose in the kidneys without interfering with glucagon and insulin values. This results at the same time in an energy gain that is able to prevent insulin-induced fat accumulation. Glutamine counteracts the accumulation of fat from food, which consequently helps to control weight. Additionally, it also avoids sugar and alcohol cravings.

CHROMIUM PICOLINATE:

An important aspect in the treatment of obesity is the normalization of appetite, this is where chromium picolinate acts. It is known that appetite control is carried out in the hypothalamus, where glucostates are involved as mediators of appetite and satiety, as well as the biochemical response to glucose levels in the blood; studies have shown that chromium picolinate has an action on these levels, facilitating the entry of the mediator (glucose) by improving the use of insulin in this area of the regulatory mechanism, thus helping to suppress appetite.

This mineral, present in small amounts, is essential to help the body's insulin regulate blood sugar levels.

VITAMINS: B2, B3, B5, B7 and B12.
