INGREDIENTS:Silybum Marianum (Milk Thistle Extract), Agrimony Eupatoria (Agrimony Extract), Lamium Album (White Nettle Extract)

TRADITIONAL USE OF ITS INGREDIENTS: Traditional use: Influenza, colds, pharyngitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, emphysema, asthma. Gastritis, diarrhea. Arterial hypertension. Cystitis, adjuvant in treatments requiring increased diuresis (overweight, edema due to venous insufficiency, hyperuricemia, oliguria, gout). Popularly used in the treatment of metrorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, as a depurative "blood thinning", antirheumatic and hypoglycemic, and externally in: eczema, ichthyosis, scabies, abrasions and skin irritations, hyperhidrosis, vulvovaginitis, hemorrhoids, glossitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis, parodontopathies, wounds and burns. Expectorant of the respiratory tract.

Agrimonia eupatoria: Spanish: Agrimonia, agrimoña, hierba de San Guillermo, hierba bacera, hierba del podador, mermasangre, gafetí, and in Romance, cabsitilla, cabsitiella and cabsotella derived from cabsa, head, alluding to the shape of the fruits (in the "Glossary", by Asín Palacios, page 54). It is used in the treatment of jaundice, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, diarrhea, inflammatory processes, conjunctivitis, hoarse voice, pruritic dermatitis.

It is an exceptionally diuretic plant, astringent due to its tannins and general tonic. Recent research has shown that agrimony, applied externally, is an excellent treatment for pruritic dermatitis, significantly relieving the characteristic itching and discomfort. This is due to an intrinsic anti-allergic activity of agrimony, which has been proposed by some authors such as Santini, who consider that this plant has a pseudocorticoid or ACTH-like effect (adrenocorticotropic hormones). This effect is related to the presence of plant steroid and tripertenic compounds, which act as pre-hormones that are transformed in the human body into hormones (sexual, adrenocortical...). Other authors maintain that agrimony harvested before flowering, has more appreciated effects at hypoglycemic level, administered in infusion at 2% or in fluid extract at a rate of 2-3 cc per day.

Lamium album (White Nettle): Especially indicated to treat diarrhea. It is a very common herbaceous plant in Europe. It is similar to the greater nettle, but fortunately does not have its stinging properties. The medicinal use of this plant is due to its richness in tannins and flavonoids. Tannins give it a tonic and astringent action on mucous membranes. Flavonoids and phenols provide an antiseptic and slightly hemostatic action. Finally, it has expectorant properties due to its mucilage content. Recent studies have shown the beneficial effects of nettle in the treatment of gout and excess uric acid.

Silybum marianum (milk thistle): Milk thistle seeds have been used for centuries for medicinal purposes. From them are obtained substances such as silymarin, which is used in chronic conditions of the liver and gallbladder. Other benefits attributed to milk thistle include the following:

Intervenes favorably in cases of lithiasis (kidney and gall bladder stones).

Normalizes glycemia (lowers blood sugar)

It is the most potent hepatoprotective known with action on cirrhosis, hepatitis, fatty liver, liver poisoning.

It also protects kidney cells in case of renal failure.

It prevents liver and kidney damage caused by certain antiviral drugs, analgesics, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Prevents lipid peroxidation (antioxidant action in fatty tissues)

Induces apoptosis in cancer cells.

Lowers cholesterol levels.

Reduces insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes who also have cirrhosis.

It could have applications in cancer prevention.

It is used to treat complications in AIDS patients.

Milk thistle is also used in a multitude of products that claim to reduce the effects of hangovers.
